Linda van der Westhuizen

Linda van der Westhuizen (1957) is still a practicing anaesthetist. She studied at the University of Cape town and worked at the Groote Schuur Hospital. Shen then specialized in anaesthesia at Stellenbosch University and worked at the Tygerberg Hospital, after which she obtained a specialist anaesthesia degree from the Royal College of Medicine. She is bilingual, hence the mix of English and Afrikaans, and lives in Cape Town with her three beloved cats. She is also a divorced mother of two and when not in the theatre, her hands are always busy with sewing, quilting, knitting and chrocheting. She walks regularly and loves swimming and photography.
